BIO

Currently a freshmen at Columbia College Chicago, Matthew Steele is studying Live & Performing Arts Management with a projected minor in either Musical Theatre or Dance in the Arts, Entertainment, & Media Management Department. Matthew graduated with honors from a small-town high school in Spring 2011, where he had leading roles in musicals like Grease and Footloose. Additionally, he was an avid Madrigal and Concert Choir member, as well as Key Club Vice President, Photography Editor for the newspaper and yearbook, and a Student Council Representative. Matthew moved to Chicago in Fall 2011 to continue pursuing his long sought after career in entertainment by perfecting and utilizing his skills as a vocalist, dancer, pianist, actor, writer, and all-around entertainer and artist at Columbia College Chicago. He enjoys jazz, African, lyrical, and musical theatre-style dance, listening to artists from Whitney Houston to Michael Bublé, and recording and composing R&B, Pop, and Soul music. Dream roles include that of Ren McCormack in “Footloose,” any role in “Mamma Mia,” and any role, for that matter, in a feature film, television show, or recording company.
